Daily Project திருக்குறள் (Thirukkural)

On 11-December-2013 Wednesday, I and my friend /ex-colleague Nagamani have collaborated to work on a daily project called Daily Project திருக்குறள் (Thirukkural). Thirukkural is one the most important works in Tamil Literature. It is believed to be written around 2nd century BC and 5th century BC. More information available in Wikipedia.

There are numerous websites, blogs, tweeples available for Thirukkural. Most of them have ripped, though giving due credits to authors, from popular explanatory books such as the ones authored by Mu.Varadharajan, Solomn Paappaiyaa, Parimelazhagar etc.

Objective
1) Learn and absorb Thirukkural on a daily basis
2) Byheart the Kural
- Not to come up with a new / detailed explanation as there are numerous books already.

Target Dates
1) Soft Target - 31st August 2017 (considering it takes 3 years and 235 days)
2) Hard Target - 30th November 2014 (Considering 30 days per year for festivals, sickness, exigencies)

Rules
1) Only One Kural (குறள்) per day

2) All three sections - Righteousness, Wealth, Love (பால் - 1.அறம், 2.பொருள், 3.காமம்) in a cyclic order. But not necessarily in same order 1-2-3. It can be permutations such as 1-2-3, 3-2-1, 2-3-1 etc)

3) No author should shy from one particular aforementioned Section or stick to one particular section

4) All Chapters (அதிகாரம்) will be covered in 10 cycles. I.e In one cycle, the chapter will not be repeated.

5) There will not be any repeat in the Kural. If willing to any additional explanation, then re-edit it and save it to latest date. However, this will not be considered as the Kural of that day.

6) In future, no more than a total of 5 authors will be allowed.

7) Kurals in Chapters can be picked in random. Chapters can be picked in random. But aforementioned rules 2,3,4,5 will apply.
[Updated: Chapters has to be in order and Kurals also need to be in order. This will save time in making decisions and also avoid repetitions]

8) Authors will follow a cyclic fashion

9) Co-author can take up the role of the author of the day ONLY when they come to know about sickness or any exigency.
